A Tribute To The Former Convent

Notre Dame Grammar School, Blackburn, Lancashire

I hope you enjoy looking through these few pages and the photos in the
Web Album.

Any interesting info that could be added to the brief school history on page two, would be most welcome!

Hope to hear from you.

  • When did Notre Dame Grammar School close it's doors?
Well apparently this was in 1987.
Notre Dame was merged with St John Rigby School and pupils were transferred to the newly named
"Our Lady and St. John's High School" at Shadworth.
  • What are your memories visiting the empty school before demolition?

  • Our friendly Sisters were just sometimes a little intimidating. Don't you agree??

    But we did have fun.

Occasionally the Sisters managed to let their hair down.
